Hosting Signature Community Events
We bring the community together through annual events that celebrate Hernando's vibrant culture:
- Water Tower Festival: A yearly tradition with 100+ arts & crafts vendors, food trucks, an exciting kid's area, and other family-friendly activities
- Sunset on the Square: A summer music series taking place every Thursday in June, highlighting local talent and delicious eats
- Christmas Parade: Every year, we have local businesses and organizations participate in the Christmas parade, taking place down Commerce Street and around the historic courthouse square to spread holiday cheer.
- Christmas Tree Lighting: This event kicks of the holiday season the same weekend as Hernando Dickens of a Christmas
- Hernando Fashion Show: In collaboration with Community Bank, the Hernando Fashion show brings the community together for a fun night out & highlights local retail stores' new arrivals.
- Retail Events: Supporting small businesses through the Hernando Chocolate Tour, Summer Sidewalk Sale, Christmas Open House, and other shopping experiences.
